Abstract

Maximizing value of the firm by shareholders’ welfare will
become the objective of each company. To achieve those value, most of the
company occured some agency conflict which is the nature of human who
prioritize their own benefit. These agency conflict often happen even they
have managerial ownership in their structure. The objective of this
research is to prove the impact of managerial ownership, institutional
ownership, leverage, firm size, and asset growth to value of the firm. The
sample of this research contains 31 manufacture firm which listing on
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period between 2010-2014. This
research use panel data regression analysis with fixed effect method to test
those hypothesis. The result show that institutional ownership, leverage, and
asset growth have positive impact on value of the firm. On the other hand,
managerial ownership and firm size have their negative impact on value of
the firm. These result contribute their effect in variation significant
level.
